“Morning, love,” I said as I gently kissed her
shoulder. She turned over, smiling even though her eyes weren’t open yet.
“Good morning, my knight,” she said, and a thrill
rushed through me at her words. She was so lovely that it took my breath away.
It felt so good to be open with her, about my past, my vampirism … and she
accepted me for who I was. “Want to join the Mile High Club now?”
I laughed at her unexpected question. “Ready to leave
so soon?” I propped myself up on my elbow and gently stroked her cheek as she
lay across my arm … and I had never seen a sight so lovely. “Want to go
sailing?”
She looked into my eyes. “Is it safe?”
Pain ripped through my chest at her question, but I
kept a good poker face. As not only a vampire, but as a man, I prided myself on
keeping my family safe. “I assure you, love. I’ll keep you safe.” Then, I
rolled over on top of her, allowing my body to feel her curves beneath me,
while being careful not to crush her. “Now, what was that about the Mile High
Club?” I gently trailed kisses along her cheek. She spread her legs sleepily
and my cock responded. It was all I could do not to take her then, but I stopped
to look into her eyes. “We aren’t in a jet, but will this bed do?”
Leila laughed, a wonderful sound. It was good to hear
her laugh again. “Well, if we must.” Then, she raised her hips to meet my
erection in answer as her lips met mine. Her kiss was filled with so much
passion that I could no longer hold back. “What about Jase?”
“Still asleep,” I said, as I let my teeth graze along
her neck playfully.
“Then, take me,” she replied, and I knew that she was
not only talking about sex. She wanted me to feed from her, too.
“Your wish is my command.”
